The Garland Central Libraries are open.  All will have reduced hours and 25% capacity.

Central Library:         Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  
Branch Hours:           Tuesday & Thursday 1 to 6 p.m.                
                                    Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Senior hours (age 65+):  Central Library, Tuesday 9 to 10 a.m.
                                          South Garland Branch, Thursday 12 to 1 p.m.

Central Library capacity: 148 patrons
South Garland Branch capacity: 90 patrons
North Garland Branch capacity: 40 patrons
Walnut Creek Branch capacity: 20 patrons

  • Curbside pickup and the book drops are available (click on the CHECKOUTS/HOLDS tab for details). 
  • Please use the library’s ONLINE RESOURCES.  
  • If you need a library card click on Online Registration.
  • Please email LIB-SUPPORT with any questions or concerns you may have.

Garland Libraries have opened the book drops and are accepting returns.

  • All returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours before being checked in.
  • We are not charging fines and will forgive any fines accrued as a result of our quarantine.  If the quarantine has affected your account or your ability to place holds please contact us at 972-205-2500 or email Lib-support.
