Sweetheart Dance Sugar and spice and everything nice! Dads, granddads, and uncles, catch a shooting star with your little angel to a night of heavenly fun! This special evening includes dinner, dancing, a professional 5' X 7' photo, and each little angel will receive her very own ribbon halo. Be a part of her dream come true. Register per person. Each person in attendance must have a ticket. Save $2 per person when you register online.

Garland Parks and Recreation Award Winners Garland Parks and Recreation stood out at the awards ceremony at the Texas Recreation and Parks Society Regions 2 & 3 Conference held in Rockwall on November 18. Garland recieved 5 awards including Best New Professional, Travis Cunniff; Recreation Professional of the Year, George Deines; Part time Employee of the Year, Joyce Kendall; Advocate of the Year, Jack Sparkes; and Recreation Facility Design, Hollabaugh Recreation Center. Congratulations to everyone honored.

Available to the public are six recreation centers, two senior citizen centers, four swimming pools, a 13-court tennis center with pro shop, 40 playgrounds, 73 athletic fields, four group picnic pavilions, and more than 30 miles of trails.

Whether it’s splashing in the waves at Surf and Swim Wave Pool, ballroom dancing at the Garland Senior Activity Center, guided nature tours at the Spring Creek Forest Preserve, Jazzercise classes at Audubon Recreation Center or Holford Recreation Center, sailboarding on Lake Ray Hubbard at Windsurf Bay Park, adult softball leagues at Carter Softball Complex, or Special Olympic sports, try us for your family’s recreation needs.
