Federal Grant Application Process
2020 to 2021 Grant Application Process
- The City of Garland uses an annual, consolidated grant process for funding of its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). It relies on citizen input to decide what the specific goals and projects and priorities should be for the upcoming grant year. Please provide your input by either:
- Attending a public meeting
- Filling out the citizen survey in either English or Spanish
Information sessions will be held on the following dates to learn more about the grant application process:
|Jan. 22, 2020||Public Input Meeting - 800 Main Street - Bluebonnet Room||6 p.m.|
|Feb. 14, 2020||Nonprofit Entity Meeting - 800 Main Street - Housing and Community Services||1:30 p.m.|
|Feb. 17, 2020||Nonprofit Entity Meeting - 800 Main Street - Housing and Community Services||1:30 p.m.|
|April 7, 2020||Public Hearing - Federal Grants - 217 N. Fifth, Garland Council Chambers||7 p.m.|
A survey will be provided for written comments on the consolidated plan priorities and potential use of Housing and Urban Development funds for the upcoming year.
The survey is not an application for funds. Comments regarding the funding of projects will be forwarded to the appropriate service provider before the submission of their applications for funding. A summary of all comments received will be included with applications submitted to City Council for their review. Please complete only one survey per person.
